How do they figure Zo is a wr. Isn't he a slot back?
There is too much talking and bargining at these all-district meetings. Ballots should go out and votes taken, no wheeling and dealing among coaches. That is how RB's like Zo get to be WR's. There almost like car salesman trying to get their boy on the team. And I know you can guess who is the best at it. I know Neely is a good center and congrats to him for an awesome year....but, Offensive player of the year? He was a pass blocker most of the year.
So any lineman is not worthy of the player of the year award?? I'm not being a smartass but im just wandering if thats what your post is really meaning.
Generally when I think offensive player of the year, I think someone scored a lot, or gained a lot of yards.
Being an old trencher, or hawg, I kinda like this, but I think it's more of a gimmick...sorta like Woodson winning the Heisman.
about the PV quarterback being first team and somepeople saying ethan stewart should haev been first team. THe best quarterback isnt always on the best team. Like Peyton Manning when Tom Brady was winning superbowls. PVs quarterback deserves it and congradualtions to all that made it.
Agreed.
I'll be totally honest with you, too. Comparing throwing ability and running ability overall, I would pick Cedric Mitchell as the better quarterback, simply because I've watched both Burton and Powell Valley several times and he was the most impressive one that I saw.
Ethan should had been first team hands down, he lead his team all the way to the state game. Im curious, who had more numbers ethan or cedric??
I'd say Zo led his team to state.
Offensive linemen of the year award is good. But Offensive player of the year? Just never heard of it before. I guess I'm used to a QB or RB getting this award.
